Guided by the corporate strategy of developing an effective partnership with the universities, in the end of 2007, it was decided by SAP to establish in Russia the Academic Competence Center (ACC).
ACC is the main contact point for matters regarding the connection with the provision and use of SAP software for universities. Part of the ACC functions are to provide and support the IDES and SAP ERP systems; set up and operation of the hotline to support the users of the system; implementation of induction training about the use of standard SAP ERP; together with SAP development of educational concepts to members of the ACC institutions.
In addition, ACC is the umbrella organization for organizing and conducting certification courses for students and teachers of educational institutions in Russia. In order to work effectively in such a large region, ACC tries to involve the active members of the University Alliance as much as possible.
As a result of this cooperation, teachers from different universities throughout the country will be invited to lecture and certification courses, methodological and applied research projects.

Creating a scientist modular training courses and manuals for training students in master's programs
Creating student groups to carry out research in collaboration with partners and clients of SAP
Support for international cooperation with similar centers
For students of the St. Petersburg University, ACC conducts certification courses to obtain professional qualifications SAP Solution Architect and co-ordinate the establishment of certification centers for the CIS region
